A Cultural Development Corporation project, the Mead Theatre Lab allows audiences to experience innovative new work and interact with an exciting mix of contemporary performers. It is a venue for talented playwrights, producers, directors, designers and actors to present pieces that explore new and challenging ideas. The intimate, flexible space has presented readings, workshops, small theatrical productions, dance, movement and performance pieces and other experimental forms. Through the Mead Theatre Lab, CuDC works to nurture emerging performing artists and organizations and expand the visibility of established performers and theater companies.
