You can help in various ways, some being very simple. Be a humane educator; this costs nothing and requires very little effort other than talking to friends and neighbors. Encourage your local city councils to adopt measures that will positively impact animal control programs thus saving the lives of animals as well as tax payer monies. There are towns throughout the country that have reduced their euthanasia rates by 30 to 60 percent by implementing and enforcing codes that target animal population programs. Support programs that provide low cost spay and neuter services to those who need assistance.
