The penultimate Unskinny Bop of the decade is coming up on Saturday November 21st.
The ULTIMATE meaning FINAL Bop of the decade is happening on Saturday December 19th and there will be a THEME! The theme is NOUGHTIES, ie THE DECADE THAT IS NOW ENDING!! We will be playing EXCLUSIVELY music from this fine fine decade with the odd exception for Christmas songs. Theme means fancy dress. Oh yes. Come as the noughties icon of your choice, animal, vegetable, mineral. We are coming as the White Stripes and we hear someone else is coming as an Oystercard. Great! We trust you will provide us with many reproductions of Gaga, and if you think it's a crap theme, just come as yourself. You can't get more noughties than that. But you won't win a prize.

A message to Boppers on the subject of our cherished Unskinny Bop posters:
"Hello Boppers, I am Bill Savage - the other fat one at the Bop who's not Tamsin or Ruth! I make the posters which I hope brighten up the Bop venue and make the space our own. I love making posters and am happy to spend hours cutting and pritt-sticking, and I'm always very flattered when people say they like them. They are not great works of art, or very expensive to make, but it's really upsetting when, like this Saturday, one gets stolen. This doesn't happen very often, but when it does it feels like a slap in the face of everything the Bop stands for. It is just plain wrong. So please don't steal the posters!

VENUE NEWS:
There are some new arrangements regarding the venue which we have come to after problems with people getting in to the February Bop.
The Star of Bethnal Green will be *closed* between 8pm and 9pm and everyone inside will be booted out via a back door. What this means is that we wil be starting with a capacity of ZERO so it means no Star of Bethnal Green stragglers taking up space and MORE ROOM FOR GENUINE BOPPERS hurray.
The upstairs bar will open at 9.30. The queue will be staggered to let people in more slowly so the bar staff and cloakroom can cope but we will be monitoring this closely so if you have been queuing for an excessively long time but it's not yet one-out-one-in, HOLLA ATCHA BOY.
Despite this we expect we will still be very busy and we expect to reach capacity by about 10/10.30pm. The door will be open til 1am however, so if anyone does leave to get the last tube, if you are stuck in the queue you will have more of a chance of getting in.
We have worked hard with the venue to come to these new arrangements and we really hope it works and everyone has an amazing night!!

HOUSE RULES:
FINALLY there will be a new page going up on the U Bop website (when we have a chance) to remind us and the newbies of the HOUSE RULES! But here they are for Facebook Appreciators as a sneak preview. If everyone will be so kind as to bear these in mind, we think everything will be hunky dory, always and forever:
- please don't steal drinks
- please don't steal posters (apart from photocopied A4 ones)
- please say "excuse me" or words to that effect when you are trying to get past someone
- please let people out of the way when they are trying to get past you
- smile!
If you can't abide by these rules please don't come, there are places for people like you down the road in Shoreditch.
