Hello Fellow Friends of Life!

Christie and I are so excited to share some stories and updates on the Fall 2009 campaign so far. We are inspired by the number of new participants that have already started coming out to pray. Thank you!!

We held Columbus' first ever 40 Days for Life Kick Off Rally on Sept. 22nd and were blessed with great weather and an even better turn out than we ever expected! Thank you everyone for coming out to meet others and get geared up for this 40 Days campaign.

On the very first day of the fall campaign we had at least 4 clergymen join our prayer group. And one passerby stopped to pray with the group without any previous information on 40 Days for Life.

Our Facebook page and YouTube videos are receiving some great comments:

"Columbus OH! You guys are fired up out there! I? love all of your videos! They make me want to Move out there cause it seems like you have a HUGE prolife community out there! May the Lord Bless Coloumbus OH and make it Abortion Free!"

"My daughter and I prayed the 4:00 pm hour. There were about 13 people praying then. My daughter who is 15 wrote: "Praying outside the abortion clinic makes me cry every time. the only thing i try to remember is that Jesus is waiting just outside... the door for the women with a tissue and a shoulder to cry on. They just can't see Him because they are so ashamed, scared, and confused." The experience was very moving."

We had a great group come out for our first ever candlelight vigil. Jackie Dorman did a wonderful job of leading us in prayer that night. It was a very moving and powerful experience. We hope to plan another candlelight vigil at the clinic in the future.

We are also very excited to tell you about approximately 35 men at North Central Correctional Institute in Marion Ohio who are praying along with us during this 40 Days for Life campaign. We hope to be able to share more information with them in the near future and perhaps find ways to get them more involved.
