This group is devoted to informing and rallying members of PRSSA chapters in the NW about the upcoming event in May.
The University of Oregon is thrilled to host its Regional Activity, “Northwest Networking: Hiking Toward PR Success,” Tuesday, May 6 at the Holiday Inn Crown Plaza in Portland, Ore.
This event will feature agency tours, lunch with a keynote speaker, a career fair and informational interviews with PR professionals from the around the country.
The 2008 UO Regional Activity will be Tuesday, May 6 at the Holiday Inn (Crown Plaza) at the Convention Center in Portland, Ore., the day before the Communicator's Conference in the same location. Expected attendance at Networking in the Northwest is 100 students, mostly from institutes of higher education in Oregon and Washington.
The Regional Activity aims to be the most beneficial professional development event in the Pacific Northwest for college students interested in public relations careers:
• Demonstrate PRSSA's commitment to diversity in all aspects of the word.
• Showcase the excellence of the University of Oregon, Portland, Ore. and the entire Pacific Northwest.
Create a welcoming environment for diverse participants, especially those with disabilities.
