What is Green Love?

Simply put, it is the sustainable initiative that AS has embraced. But really it is much more. Green Love has developed into a comprehensive movement that seeks to make the AS facilities and programming "green." In addition, we are working on ways to impact the entire university so that the surrounding communities will benefit as well. In less time than you think, SDSU will serve not only as a model to the CSU system, but universities across the nation.

Just to put things into perspective, AS operates all the major facilities on campus, which include Cox Arena, Open Air Theater, the ARC, Aquaplex, Aztec Center, Children's Center, Mission Bay Aquatic Center, and Scripps Cottage. Imagine the potential!

MISSION STATEMENT

The Associated Students will work to pave the way for a full-scale sustainable movement by and for San Diego State University and the surrounding communities.

GOALS

1. Create an awareness of sustainability throughout the Associated Students, Inc.

2. Measurably Improve operations to meet as high of standard of sustainability as feasible.

3. Create an awareness of sustainability throughout the University with an ongoing Educational Campaign.

4. Encourage student organizations and residents to adopt sustainable habits with benchmark programs and university recognition.

5. Assist SDSU in becoming a model University in sustainability, unifying the efforts of faculty, staff, and students.
