Founded in 1993, HATTheatre features an intimate 70 seat black-box often compared by its patrons as similar to the small theatres found in New York's Greenwich Village. Shows produced by the theatre include musicals, plays, staged readings, one-acts, and original works. All to date have been Richmond premieres.

HATT is the only theatre in Richmond to offer a year-round Education Series for Youth (aqes 5-18) & Adults. Homeschool classes and summer wokshops/camps are also offered.
