Our Facebook Group acts as the companion site to the departmental newsmagazine _English at UNI_, and is dedicated to connecting students, alumni, faculty and staff. The publication was founded by the UNI Professional Writing Program, and is written, edited, and designed almost entirely by students.

_English at UNI_ offers news and updates about the UNI Department of English Language and Literature. The first issue was published in Spring 2008.

The newsmagazine was made possible by one of the UNI Cooperative Education "20 Best Internships on Campus." In 2007, a "20-On" stipend was awarded to the newsmagazine, in response to a grant proposal submitted by the Professional Writing Program. This stipend enabled the Program to create the managing editor's position and develop the premiere issue.

The 2007-08 issue also was underwritten by the College of Humanities and Fine Arts Office of the Dean, and by the UNI Alumni Association.
