News:
The Executive of Southwark Council voted on the options that they will put to the Charity Commission to develop a Cy-pres scheme for the Livesey building. The options were:
- to pass the trust to the Novas Scarman Group with the Livesey Friends to run it as a Museum for Children.
- to pass it to Theatre Peckham for use as a workshop and rehearsal space
- to sell the building, using the assets to enhance Peckham library.
They voted to pass it to Theatre Peckham, and subsequently went to the Charity Commission to develop a cy-pres scheme to enable its change of use. This scheme is now published on http://www.charitycommission.gov.uk/supportingcharities/schemes/sch000002.asp?pageID=Draft and you have until 31st October to respond
