Encounter comes together 4 Sundays a month in the Reading area of PA. The average age of those who come out are between 18-30, though Encounter is open to all ages and most ages are represented.
The schedule is: 1st Sunday - community service project in Reading. 2nd & 4th Sundays - main gathering at Goggleworks Center for the Arts. 3rd Sunday - conversation group about current series at Hard Bean Cafe, West Reading. Start time for all is 4:30PM.
In addition Encounter gathers for social events and for prayer focuses for the city of Reading.
Encounter exist for Christians, for those who aren't sure what they are and for those who long for a different expression of church while striving to stay true to the Bible and the mission of Jesus for our time & place.
The main gathering includes worship, communion, interactive prayer stations, readings, art, preaching and time to hang out and meet some new people.
