- ANNOUNCEMENT:
The Ithaca College Jazz Ensemble announces the first annual Jazz Ensemble Composition Contest. The contest has been created to encourage the composition and performance of the highest possible quality of jazz ensemble literature. Therefore, the winner of the contest will be awarded a cash prize of $500 and the piece will be published by eJazzLines in their series "Jazz Lines Publications." The members of the IC Jazz Ensemble will help judge the contest.

CONCERTS
Here are all our upcoming concerts for the 2009-2010 school year:
Saturday November 7th at 8:15PM in Ford Hall: Symphonic Band and IC Jazz Ensemble. This is a free yet ticketed event as part of Family Weekend 2009.
Thursday, November 19th at 8:15PM in Ford Hall: Jazz Lab Ensembles.
Wednesday, December 2nd at 8:15PM in Ford Hall: IC Jazz Ensemble with guest artist John Bailey, trumpet.
ALSO: Trumpeter John Bailey will also be playing on Thursday December 3rd upstairs at the Carriage House along with a combo of IC faculty (Mike Titlebaum on saxophone, John Stetch on piano, Nicholas Walker on bass, and Tom Killian on drums).
Monday March 8th, 2010 at 8:15PM in Ford Hall: Vocal Jazz Ensemble and IC Jazz Ensemble with guest composer/director Fred Sturm.
Sunday April 18th, 2010 at 8:15PM in Ford Hall: IC Jazz Ensemble with guest artist Jiggs Whigham, trombone.
Sunday April 25th, 2010 at 8:15PM in Ford Hall: Jazz Lab Ensembles.
