- March 5, 2009 - Keep Georgia Safe is currently hosting a big wheel event in honor of Lauren and another Georgia woman who was abducted and murdered in 2007. We have been selling wristbands in Lauren's memory. They are lime green and say "We Live in a Beautiful World" followed by a heart and her initials. You can purchase wristbands at www.laurenburkmemorial.com All proceeds go to the Lauren Burk Memorial Scholarship Funds at Oglethorpe University and Auburn University, as well as to the Invisible Children fund and possibly the American Kidney Foundation.
