News:: Oct 12: Cast members moved out and went home today as the show wrapped production in DC.
Oct 8: Well, the final countdown begins. Tonight the RWDC cast will attend an art exhibit that some of them are featured in at Gallery Plan B in Dupont Circle. This time next week most of the cast will have returned home.
September 27: The Real World DC should be done shooting in about two weeks -- which is ahead of schedule (the schedule that was given back in June).

ALSO: The cast has had several fights over the last ten days. Mainly between Erika and Ashley at Nellie's as well as a public fight outside the RW House involving Ty and the roommates.
Additionally: Erika now works at Bang Salon & Spa / VIDA Fitness Metropole on 15th Street NW (15th and P).
Oh, and Ashley has a boy, Alex, who works at Rhino.
August 16: ADVANCE: This Sunday in the print edition of the Washington Post, reporter Dan Zak does an expose on us - those who cover the "Real World DC" as the 'real world characters of the "Real World". August 15: Well, the latest news we have is that the Real Worlders will be joining the NAKID kickball league here in DC. Also, there are rumblings of RWDC participating in GWU's STAND (student organization against genocide).
August 9: Update on the latest news from Washington, DC. This weekend, Callie Walker and Michael Manning attended a reception at the national headquarters of the Human Rights Campaign (HRC). Gay Games Bid Scholarship Program & Welcome Reception. Photos have been uploaded and are made possible by photographer Chadwick Cipiti.

Meanwhile, Callie Walker is interning at the Washington Blade newspaper--the flagship GLBTQ publication in the nation which is owned by Window Media. Callie is a photographer for the weekly newspaper. She is publishing under the name "Callie Marie."

Late last week came word that at least one cast member will be interning at the Whitman Walker Clinic (a definite facet of the District. Whitman Walker Clinic provides services for HIV/AIDS treatment, advocacy and education. Whitman Walker Clinic is also responsible for the yearly AIDS WALK WASHINGTON, a major event which takes place each October. The cast will, per a Whitman Walker representative, be "integral" in the Oct. 3 AIDS WALK.

July 26: I was invited to and attended a VIP reception at HALO (a chic, trendy lounge/bar that a friend of mine owns. The occassion was to celebrate the 5yr anniversary of HALO's opening. JD Ordonez of 'The Real World: Brooklyn' played host for the reception. In attendance also was pop music icon Crystal Waters along with some of the cast of the Real World DC and their production crews. Executive Producer Jim Johnston also attended.

July 23: Some of the Real World roommates attended an event at the HRC (1640 Rhode Island Ave., NW). Mike Manning interns at the HRC.
July 22: NBC 4 Washington covered the Twitter, Blog, Facebook phenomenon today. Did an interview with Anti Real World DC blog and myself. Asked what he thinks about DC, Mike Manning said on camera to NBC reporter Keith Garvin: "DC is awesome." July 21: Today Mike Manning began interning at the HRC (Human Rights Campaign) a GLBTQ advocacy organization.
July 20: Mike was spotted on what was described by a photographer as a "date" with a guy he reportedly met at Cobalt several Thursdays ago.
July 19: Mike and others were photographed at the Capitol Skyline Hotel swimming pool off South Capitol Street, several blocks from the Nationals Stadium (they seem to go swimming there every Sunday).
July 14: CAST ID: Ty is from Baltimore, MD where he played high school football at Gilman. He then attended Trinity College in Connecticut. His last name is Ruff.
BREAKING: (JULY 13): We just broke the news that the cast member previously identified as Ashley Lambert is ASHLEY LINDLEY. (Confirmed)

--July 11: (3:00AM at the Real World DC House): A verbal confrontation between a large group of people escalated into a fist fight in front of the RWDC house. Nobody from the cast or crew was involved, but reports claim that one woman beat down another for nearly thirty minutes while RWDC security did nothing. Pictures and story in links at the bottom of this page.
--July 9: OUT AND ABOUT: Mike Manning, Ty, additional cast members and their respective sound technician, camera operator, production assistant, and producer made their way several blocks down R Street and arrived at gay bar/club Cobalt. Thursday nights are "best package contest" nights. Reports detail that Mike (who is gay) found a boy who piqued his interest and the two of them had some "quality, getting-to-know-your-tonsils" time while Ty (who claims he's straight) entered the contest but refused to remove his shorts (which is the whole point of the contest). So, DC Diva and Drag Queen Extraordinaire Miss Lena Lett removed his shorts for him. He lost the contest.
--July 9: TOOL UPDATE: The BMP Photographer who blocked WUSA-9 reporter Lindsey Mastis' interview at the Real World DC House last week is named Ryan Romkema. He's from Baltimore. And his photographer buddies are black listing him.

--July 6: Sense of normalcy -- guys went to the gym. More exploring of the neighborhood.

--July 5: RWers grilled at the house on the side patio. Went to The Big Hunt for drinks in the evening; ran into bloggers from Anti-Real World DC. Interesting conversation ensued.

-- July 4: Attended a block party with the Real World DC cast on Florida Avenue. Then they took the Boomerang bus to their yacht for the fireworks on the Potomac.. Afterward they went bar hopping on the Boomerang Bus.

---June 30 ****SPECIAL: We believe that today could very well be a logical start date for production. After several contributors who work in the industry reviewed dozens of facts, they also said that no earlier than June 29 would productionmost likely begin (barring any unforeseen circumstances)
--June 29: Received a credible report that new "bodyguard/security" types now sit or stand outside the house all night. This used to be the day-job of several friendly interns who sat outside the front door all day, every day (once we broke the news of the house location.)

June 27: Executive Producer of MTV's 'The Real World', Jim Johnston, is spotted inspecting the 20th Street Side street-level patio, grill, and herb garden, while sipping from a Venti Starbucks cup early in the morning on a Saturday. Johnston had several production staff members with him.

**JUNE 27 MILESTONE: Hire Date for DC-based production crews has passed.

--June 24: Received a report of exterior taping and being asked to get out of the shot. We couldn't confirm this happened and that it was for MTV/BMP.

-June 23: Sources: Washington Sports Club Conn. Ave. to be the gym for the RW cast. Offers from other gym chains like Vida Fitness and Results were reportedly turned down.

-June 22: Still more contractors as well as Bunim Murray Productions people running around the house... Reports of cast members being here are FALSE they won't be for several more days.

-June 21: We've posted the bars and clubs we recommend you go to in order to catch The Real World DC cast. These establishments reportedly welcome the cast to be there and are hip and trendy. One additional is Halo on P Street; they were not mentioned in the article in the links section below.

-June 20: No cast arrival/production activity other than boxes being moved in the house. Movie with Reese Witherspoon, Owen Wilson, Jack Nicholson, Paul Rudd being filmed a few blocks from the house.
