The Peninsula Belgian American Club, located in Namur, Wisconsin, is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1964.
There is a region in northeast Wisconsin, along the bay between Green Bay and Sturgeon Bay that is populated almost exclusively by people of Belgian origin. It is the largest rural settlement of people of this nationality in the United States.
Peninsula Belgian American Club members went to Belgium in 1972, and the Belgians started coming to the U.S. in 1975. This tradition of biennial visits continues to this day with our sister club in Belgium, the Wallonie Wisconsin Society.
This group is open to anyone who has an interest in keeping their Belgian heritage alive!
Don't forget to post your photos or videos, provide comments, or tell your stories. We have surnames listed on our club website and you can also post your request here regarding ancestors you're researching. We have a lot of people who are always ready and willing to provide genealogy assistance.
