Update 9/11/09

17-24-30 NO TO HATE

It's been a busy couple of months. The Silent Candle-lit Vigil in Trafalgar Square was a huge success with just under 10,000 people attending plus many more taking part all over the world (see photos and wall).

We are making plans to do it again next year - an annual "International Day of Remembrance for all victims of Hate Crime" on the Saturday 30th October 2010 (see event's listed).

We are busy updating our facebook pages but also starting to organise the group off-line as well so that more people can be involved (check out our updated contact details and website www.17-24-30.com)

Our first official Fundraiser is "The Laramie Project" on the 21st November 2009 (see event's listed).

We've started to establish working groups to help us develop the organisation: Please only join these groups if you wish to play an active role.

NTH - Finance & Fundraising
For those interested in helping us fundraise.

NTH - Volunteers & Stewards
To gather together everyone who would like to help us steward future events or volunteer in any other way.

NTH - Support & Outreach
To look at what support is available and look at what we can do to improve it. We hope to develop links with all support organisations in the Uk

NTH - Organisations
For all UK Bar/Club owners/promotors/managers, other venues, businesses, groups and organisations.

NTH - International Outreach
For our international contacts Non UK Bar/Club owners/promotors/managers, other venues, businesses, groups and organisations + support organisations. To look at ways we can link up with others around the world and how we can respond to situations abroad and be generally supportive of each other.

NTH - Press & Media
For all journalists, press and media contacts.

As always, we continue to welcome everyone to join the group and value your thoughts and ideas.

Best wishes
