The Pinoy Expats/OFW Blog Awards was officially registered with the Philippine Securities Commission (SEC) on 18-August-2009. It now strengthens its credibility as an organization and its commitment to serve the Filipino expatriates and OFW community as well as the Filipinos at home.
It was registered with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and was granted its Certificate of Registration on 20-August-2009.

April 2009 will see the opening of the Second Season for the Pinoy Expats/OFW Blog Award. During the first season, the award started with a very simple objective - to infuse enthusiasm and inspiration for others, to do good and to give hope to a world of despair and hopelessness.
The Second Season of PEBA will gather the Filipino expats and OFW bloggers all over the world to showcase their talents and abilities through their blogs. The blogs will send forth the message of hope, serve as a voice of faith and beacon of optimism in the midst of the global crisis.
Dubbed as modern day heroes of the country, the Filipino workers abroad are set in a situation to prove worthy of the title ascribed to them.
