This group is for children and adult children who live(d) with and/or care(d) for a parent with mental illness, mental health troubles or emotional difficulties. This group is as well for parents with a mental illness or mental health problems.
I created this group with two goals:
1) give a place for discussion, sharing and support;
2) share resources available on the net on this subject.
The links section gives links to resources for children, youth, and adult children of parents with mental illness.
I need to precise that this group is not affiliated or linked with the Australian Children of Parents with a Mental Illness (COPMI) Initiative.
I would like all participants to be tolerant, not-discriminatory, understanding and not-judgmental.
Help me make this group an effective support group for youths and adults with a parent who has a mental illness.
