248AM

Novice:: Where did the name 248AM come from?
It was 2001 when I was working on my end of year portfolio and I needed name for it. I was having trouble coming up with one when I looked at my watch to see what time it was and it was 2:48AM. I decided to go with 248AM as the name for my portfolio since it symbolized my university years where I was up late all night every night. A few years later when it came to starting my blog I checked and see what domains I had available to use and ended up using 248am.com

How did 248AM start?
I originally had a project called Miskan.com in which I was taking a picture every day and posting it at the end of the night on that blog. Some days I had more than one good picture but since I could post one picture a day on Miskan I decided to open up another blog where I could dump the extra good shots I had. Thats where "The B-Sides" came from.

Is 248AM my first blog?
No its not. My first blog was qHate.com which was a shared group blog. Originally our plans for that blog were vague but due to the situation with Kuwait and Iraq at that time it quickly turned into a war blog where me and my friends posted about daily life in Kuwait during the war. My first blog post ever was on February 2nd, 2003.

What am I going to do with this Facebook group?
I think I will be posting stuff here that wouldn't usually make it on the main blog.
