News:
Just to let you all know that to kick off the new academic year (albeit a little early) I have just posted a new TV Reflection by Doug Howard - The Butterfly Effect: The Chaos of Television - http://criticalstudiesintelevision.com/index.php?siid=12096

Plus all the usual updates on Academic vacancies, PhD Studentships and new Calls for Papers.

I have also updated 'In the news' to include a piece entitled 'In defence of media studies' in which David Buckingham asks - How do we judge if a subject is easy or difficult?http://www.criticalstudiesintelevision.com/index.php?siid=12093

As well as a contribution about AHRC funding practices in which David Gauntlett says the AHRC needs to put its researchers back on the field and stop positioning them as mere spectators - http://www.criticalstudiesintelevision.com/index.php?siid=12088

Please circulate as widely as possible.

I am now looking for contributions for the up and coming academic year - particularly TV Reflections - please feel free to send your contribution to me.

With best wishes
