Nick was 15 years old when he was kidnapped and murdered by a drug dealer and his cronies, because of bad blood between that drug dealer (Jesse James Hollywood) and Nick's half-brother, Ben. This story is the basis of the movie Alpha Dog, which starred Justin Timberlake, Sharon Stone, and Bruce Willis.

It is my hope that this group will help people find out more about Nick-- what he was like, what his family and friends are like-- and find out more about the true story behind the movie.

Susan Markowitz (Nick's mom) is working on a book about Nick's life and death, and what's gone on since then (including her suicide attempts and mental hospital stays, the many court trials, and how the family has coped). I'm helping Susan write her book, which is how we know each other.

She will visit this page, and I know it means the world to her to read messages from people who've been touched by Nick's story. She could sure use some kind words now-- this trial has been particularly graphic and difficult-- so please do leave messages for Susan and Jeff (Nick's dad) here.
