http://lite.facebook.com Looks better and cleaner, but is missing a lot of features. However, for once, you are not being forced to use it if you don't want to. Definitely more aesthetically appealing to the eye.


TERMS OF SERVICE:

On February 4, 2009, Facebook revised its Terms of Service, a document it is legally permitted to update AT ANY TIME WITHOUT INFORMING USERS. Users demonstrate tacit acceptance of the Terms by continuous use of the site. That means that the terms keep changing even though they are not the ones we originally signed on for or agreed to. http://tinyurl.com/bywch3

Due to the backlash against Facebook's updated privacy policies and the fact that the Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC) was preparing to file a formal complaint with the Federal Trade Commission over the social network's updated licenses, Facebook has temporarily reverted back to its original Terms of Service and is in the process of drafting a new policy.

April 24, 2009: The newly proposed ToS is being adopted based on users' votes. We sincerely hope that FB is doing everything in its power to protect our ability to control our own information and to ensure our privacy.

Currently, Facebook claims that they allow free speech here. That is why they adamantly insist that Holocaust denial groups and other hate groups must remain on Facebook. And yet, they have deleted articles we've posted from the New York Times entitled "Holocaust Deniers Gather on Facebook" as well as Shauna's Wright's note "Sorry, Christopher. The new Facebook is STILL broken" along with some of the pictures we've posted below at least twice now. We also have had threads disappear that are critical of Facebook. Does this censorship seem like free speech to you?
