        • Wayne Werder I well remember the last night that Gary and I played *serious* Subbuteo. We played for hours and the results were 0:0, 1:1, 0:0, 1:1 and Gary said, "That's it! Waste of time! I'm off!" We played for hours and no one won a single game. Things changed for the offense about 7 years later when Hasbro solids and liquid polish were introduced.

          Simon Hutchinson With only 2 more match days left in Season 9 please will all participants consider their pick for "Player of the Season".

          The idea behind this award is the recognize the player who caused the biggest surprise this season. It is not the person who won the most games, or the person who pulled off the biggest upset in one... game. It is the person who consistently did better than you expected. And you cannot pick yourself.

          Don't tell me who your choice is until after or during the next Season 9 match day on August 27.
