The Whitewater Center in Charlotte is having a concert with the Del McCoury band Sunday night at 6. I think I will go up there about 2:30 and do about a 2 1/2-3 hour ride and hang around for the concert. Anyone want to join me?

Upstate SORBA This was posted on the forum, but I don't think anyone reads that any more, so I will repeat it here.

A few of us from Spartanburg are planning a trip to Mulberry Gap (www.mulberrygap.com) for the weekend of October 8-10. I have never been there before, but it is supposed to be a great place to camp and ride. I would lo...ve to see some SORBA folks join us. The cost is $75/night if you stay in the bunk house, which includes 2 meals, or $15/night to camp, with the option of purchasing meals. Post up here or email me at mikebmiller@gmail.com if you would like to come.

              Upstate SORBA Labor Day Weekend!

This is a SORBA IMBA North Carolina\South Carolina Alliance Member Festival. Also commonly referred to as "Maidafest". We will be riding Dupont and other Pisgah favorites.

Beginner riders and families are welcome. Depending on the rsvp's stating that you are interested in beginner rides or family rides..., we will be talking to you and others asking for volunteers to help organize and lead.

              Rides:
There have been some last minute changes so pay attention!

Saturday's ride will be a 30-35 mile epic in DuPont. 9:00 AM Start time at Corn Mill Shoals in DuPont

Sunday's ride will be the laurel pilot and slate rock loops in Pisgah 10:00 AM Start time from yellow gap on FS 1206 in Pisgah

              Camping:

              Black Forest Camp Ground:

              http://www.blackforestcampground.com/

Jeff reserved the camp area near the water tank, however, we will definitely fill up that location. I would reserve your site as soon as possible to get a site near the water tank or at the least to have a site at all.
