Growing Gardens thanks Kraemer Farms -- buy your Christmas tree (Doug Firs and Nobles) from them at the Mississippi Marketplace at the corner of NE Skidmore, and they'll donate 15% to Growing Gardens. Each Friday and Saturday from 11/27 thru Christmas.

Growing Gardens is reading a disturbing NYT story about hunger rates reaching a 14-year high -- that's 17 million households annually. The saddest statistic of all is that kids are most affected, as in previous years parents forewent food. Now, there isn't enough for one plate, let alone two.
