I'm not gonna trash this pic until I've seen it BUT I think that a Hammer film set in The US is not ideal. The whole feel of a Hammer Film is Distinctly British...Get back to Blighty Hammer!!

Agreed. There's something about this country that just makes it ripe for atmospheirc horror. Why leave it? THere's enough generic American horror out there at the moment.

Although it's comedy, just look at the horror atmosphere from 'League of Gentlemen' and 'Psychoville'.

Come home Hammer...

Claustrophobic, action-packed and genuinely frightening, Aliens proved that sequels can occasionally be the equal of their predecessors. We're proud to present the film in high-resolution 70mm.

They were unwilling to pay Chris Lee his going price to do a film and so only used him for a couple of days. This meant one location and little interaction with the rest of the cast. Scripts were written accordingly.

I think I must be one of a few people who actually loves Satanic rites and A.D. 1972. I would love to see SRoD on the big screen! Go give another chance!

Hammer Films Still no confirmed date for Beyond the Rave on dvd... but the whole thing is still available to watch via MySpace.

The Columbia Hammer titles are some of the most sought after by fans, and hopefully they will make their way to dvd gradually.

Hammer Films Andrew, in answer to your questions - yes The Ugly Duckling still exists and hopefully one day will make it to dvd, but beyond that we can't really say. The same with Crescendo. You have to remember, different companies hold certain dvd rights in different parts of the world which is why not everything has been released yet, and why some titles only come out in some countries.

Hopefully everything will be released eventually.

Hammer Films With Blu Ray gradually taking off, it can only be a matter of time before Hammer gets the treatment, Andrew! Plenty of them even made it to laserdisc, so no reason to think it will be otherwise with Blu Ray!
