Hammock Inc. Today a few members of our editorial staff bundled up and headed downtown to the 84th annual Waffle Shop, a fundraiser put on every December by the Downtown Presbyterian Church. In addition to a hodge-podge meal, including a waffle, grits, and turkey hash or sausage, the church offers tours of its historic building, as... well as its newly renovated 1913 Milner organ. All proceeds from the event benefit the church's building restoration fund and its homeless ministry. Hammock editors have their own little tradition: For three years now, representatives from the edit team have attended Waffle Shop. Bill, Jamie, Emily and Megan P. represented us this year.

Back-to-School Earworms
Ah, back-to-school time. Nothing says "new school year" like the smell of new school supplies, the rush of college students coming back into town—and music, for some of us here at Hammock.
