I've spent the last few evenings digging through my CD's looking for inspiration and guitar solos to rip off. I'm pushing for 3-5 minute solos a la "Purple Rain" on almost every track album 3 but having trouble convincing the other boys...

Hand of Fate by the Stones has a pretty cool guitar solo in it ... a bit cheesy, but it works. And just about anything off of Sticky Fingers works ... great blues twinge ... Mick Taylor may have been the most talented guitarist the Stones ever had. Thorogood's got some good sounds too.
