Peace event for Pakistan with Haroon performance.
The event in Norway was to highlight the current problems in Pakistan and to create awareness and foster support for Pakistan. The main theme was one of peace for Pakistan. The US had representation there and there were representatives from Pak as well as members of the... Norwegian government.
This even was put on by Norwegian politician Aamir Sheikh who has worked tirelessly to support Pakistan in good times and bad.
The lively audience was comprised of 50% Pakistani and 50% Norwegian. It was an emotional event with some Pakistanis in the audience brought to tears. Highlights of the show included an powerful presentation on the political history of Pakistan by young Yumna Sheikh; beautiful Norwegian singer Anne performed some classic songs. Then Haroon came on and closed the show. He started off by singing an unplugged song specially composed for Pakistan. The song is as yet un-released and un-recorded so it was a treat for the audience. He than gave an explosive performance of several of his hit numbers including an emotional rendition of Dil Se.
