Thank you Tatev. Parents play a great role too. If they don't speak Armenian with their childeren it is obvious that the children won't speak it either. We have to create a standard Armenian and we have to get rid of dialect Armenian, which all Armenian speak when they meet each other. The difference between spoken and written has to become smaller... Read More. Foreign, especially Turkish and Russian words are so integrated in our spoken language that we don't even notice that those words are not Armenian. For example: Ham es, ham el en. This is dialect for : And this and that. 'Ham' is a Turkish word. Correct Armenian would be: Yev ays, yev ayn.
'Ha' is also a Turkish word. Armenian is sounds much more beautiful and civilized: Ayo. What we don't know is that the word 'Ha' in Turkish sounds really rude and farmish.
I can name many more of these examples. Let us just speak Armenian.
