Interacting With Pages
Depending on the Page's settings, you may be able to post on the Page's Timeline.
From the top of the Page's Timeline:
Facebook Pages are public spaces. Anyone who can see the Page can see your post or comment. Also, when you post or comment on a Page, a story can be published in News Feed as well as other places around Facebook.
You can only tag certain types of Pages in photos at this time. These include Pages most likely to appear in photos, such as brands, people and products. If a Page is eligible, you don't need to like it in order to tag it in a photo.
If you manage a Page that's eligible to be tagged in photos but you're currently unable to do so, let us know.
To turn on notifications for friends or people and Pages you follow:
- Go to the person's profile or Page
- Click Friends or Liked
- Click to check Get Notifications
When you choose to get notifications, you'll get a notification each time that person or Page posts something shared with you. You can turn off these notifications by unchecking Get Notifications.
Some Pages for global brands have specialized versions of the Page for different regions of the world. To switch the version of the Page you're seeing:
- Click below the Page's cover photo
- Select Switch Region...
- Choose the most relevant country from the menu that appears
- Click Save Country
The version of the Page you choose will be the one you see in News Feed and when you visit the Page.
Keep in mind that if you like a Page while you're traveling, you may see updates for the country you're visiting even when you return home. If you're seeing posts from the Page that aren't in your language or aren't relevant to where you are, follow the steps above to switch the version of the Page you see.
Private Communication with Pages
You can only send a private message to a Page that has turned on messages. To send a private message:
- Go to the Page you want to message
- Click Message on the Page's cover photo
- Type in your message and click Send
If you don't see Message, it means the Page has turned off this feature. To contact a Page with messages turned off, try posting on the Page's Timeline.
