It says in the article that St Albans District Council are considering plans to revitalise the city centre.
As someone who used to work for 12 years in a city centre shop all I can say is that successive local governments since the late 90
...
's have been clueless and disinterested in the needs of the local retail community.
One theme that never goes away is the fact that if they make it easier and cheaper to park here the as sure as night follows day people will come and shop here. It really is not that hard.
St Albans still faces many challenges and may be more robust than some places but as our MP says there is much to do.
