I would give anything if my Dad had lived long enough to do this and see the WWII monument. Sadly, he didn't, but I am thrilled there are those who get to. GOD BLESS ALL who are in charge of this. It's a wonderful thing!

GOD BLESS each and everyone who made this possible to our brave heroes. I pray for our military and hope they know just how much I appreciate their service to our country. My Dad served in the U. S. Army in WWII, my husband is a retired chief from the U. S. Coast Guard and served in Vietnam and our son is currently serving in the U. S. Air Force, having been on 3 missions overseas. Thank you for making this wonderful opportunity available for so many, like my dad, Richard Foster.. ... he will be talking about this for the rest of his life. He loved every minute of it... So thrilled to have the chance to visit the memorial with so many had had a history with. I am sorry that we could not see hi...m get off the plane... but the excitement in his voice via telephone we could just imagine what he looked like coming into KNoxville.. and thanks to Channel 10 Knoxville.. we were able to see him in Kingsport.. the camera men were kind enough to let us see he and his friend Ernie come into the airport... Vicki, within the next few weeks every veteran that flew with us will receive a DVD of the trip. At that time you will be able to experience exactly what they experienced on Saturday......minus the rain. It was a pleasure to have Mr. Foster with us. Please give him our best and tell him to look for more surprises coming in the mail. We refer to it as "mail call". Eddie Mannis
