Horizon Records Mercy! knee deep in Holiday tunes- Sufjan Stevens, Alligator Blues Christmas, Yule Struttin' w/Blue Note Jazz, Putumayo Presents Christmas Around The World, Rev Horton Heat-We Three Kings(oh yeah), AND we are just JAMMIN to ALBERT KING-Born Under A BAd Sign, and an amazing older CD from the late great Townes Van Zandt-... High, Low and in Between, man oh man. It does sound like my year. Who needs new stuff when Albert and Townes are still talking to us from the great beyond! Well there is the new Sam Bush, Gov't Mule, Claire Lynch, Chuck Prophet, Tom Waits, Tom Petty, and my favorite new unknown modern classical composer Max Richter. How about a used Van Morrison CD, phew, time for more coffee, where'd all those cookies go?
