Darcie Schneidewind As far as horses go, does anyone else experience bad rides and good rides. I rode my horse last Sunday had an excellent ride, I rode him tonite and it was a power struggle, just wondering if anyone else has the same issues. Thanks.

Beverly Haney

Beverly Haney Hi! Just found your FB site and was hoping you or your fans could answer a question for me. What is the industry standard fee for a prepurchase vet exam? I live in NC. Any info would be appreciated!

Beverly, I don't know if there's a standard rate. I am sure it varies by region and vet. Based on my experience, I would probably expect to pay about $200-$250 for a basic exam. Hope that helps you out. Additional diagnostics like x-rays will increase the tab. It's definitely money well-spent!

Darcie Schneidewind Does anyone else's horses waste as much hay as mine? I have piles of wasted hay all over the place, any solutions to that problem?!?!?

I do, we have one spot where we keep the hay, it's toward the front of the pasture. Give them a flake, and if they dont finish it, they dont, wait until they do.
