Screaming into the spotlight from deep Down Under Lo-Key Fu has dropped the clutch on his own sizzling brand of street-level breakbeat with the hard drive still spinning.

Early momentum gathered through generous servings of genuine elbow grease - plus years spent with nationally acclaimed crossover band Rollerskates - fired the pistons to position Lo-Key Fu as a key player in taking live electronic music to the stage of his hometown (Perth, Western Australia). Creatively employing just a single hardware sampler, he was soon supporting the likes of Soundlab, Endorphin, Pre-Shrunk and The Detroit Grand Poo-Bahs; and planning his debut national release.

Launched to capacity crowds at Ambar Nightclub (Perth, Australia), the full-length Itchy Techno Finger album received rave reviews and solid airplay nationwide. Then storming the stage with Lee Coombs & Meat Katie at the multiple award winning Breakfest event in 2004 and securing a welcome endorsement from international software developer Ableton, Lo-Key Fu capped off the season by walking away with the Best Electronic Producer title at the 2005 Western Australian Music Industry Awards.

Following a solid year of frankensteining together some fresh cuts and leaning on the low-end, Lo-Key Fu took on all comers to be crowned unanimous winner of ‘The Contender’ international song competition held jointly by Title Fight Recordings and online breaks portal Bijou Breaks. Boasting both the winning entry and a collaborative remix from Title Fight custodians Dopamine and Klaus ‘Heavyweight’ Hill, the resulting twelve-inch release featured heavily on store charts and DJ set lists across the globe.

With a tub-thumping double A-side release now scheduled to hit international shelves through Bristol (UK) based Dead Famous Records later this year it's time to dust off the chrome and strap on the seatbelt as the joyride is only just beginning.
