Humane Society of Yuma This is Scooter. He is a male, chihuahua mix about 2 years old. He was turned in by his family because they had too many pets. Scooter showed up at their doorstep looking for a home, they tried to do their best to care for him but he really needs his own family. He is good with dogs and kids, he did not live with cats. He his housebroken and uses a doggie door. He is an all around great family pet.

This week, we are featuring Ed Snook, our print and electronic media guru and Tara. Tara is an eight month old spayed female. She is good around other cats, litter box trained and was allowed to spend some time outdoors. Tara has a stunning color pattern that makes her stand out. They call her "Tara the Snuggle Quee...n" and it's clear that she quickly made Ed a loyal subject. But, as any cat will tell you, all a cat has to do to capture his heart is to get eye contact.Read More

We're looking for spokesdogs to promote our 2010 licensing campaign. Send us a high resolution photo of your dog showing off what he or she is licensed to do. Licensed to fetch? Licensed to stretch? Licensed to receive belly rubs? We can't promise fortune but we can have a fair measure of fame to hand out to the most ...deserving dogs: posters, postcards, print ads, even a billboard! There'll be plenty of places that your dog's mug might show up! Send in your pictures to yourdog@hsoyuma.com

Snoopy (pictured) is available for adoption. There's no doubt she'd find something she's licensed to do in time to enter the contest.
