Where may I purchase a sticker? ...in central Idaho. Do I have to have run an ultra or just be an *aspirer*?

Ande, all you need to do is send me your address. There are multiple ways to get in touch with my on the iRunFar contact page. No need to be an ultrarunner... just need a love of running trails or in the mountains. I'll assume that's not a problem in central Idaho!

If you have some, please leave a comment noting them.

If you use an invite code, leaving a comment noting which one you used.

I hope this works!

Will, it does seem like there are plenty of DoG invite codes for now. However, I'm still very thankful that folks have shared them! First, it helped some iRF readers in the short term and, second, it showed me that the iRF community can support each other in this way!

Ande Wilkes At age 60, I've been trail running (from GA to IDaho) for 32 years, yet have never been able to get past the marathon distance. This yr I plan to try the Get the Lead Out of Your (Butt) After the Holidays 50K, being inspired by this site,.. thanks!

iRunFar.com Find out how road running might just make you a better trail runner!

Source: blog.irunfar.com
I like road running and think it has a place in training for trail races, especially trail ultramarthons. There, I've said it, let the hate mail commence...OK, so it may seem hypocritical for a trail running ...

As someone new to trail running with a few road marathons under my belt, I appreciated this article. Even though I have trail access just a few miles from my house, I'm not able to train in dirt as often as I'd like so it's usally long runs on the pavement instead. Incoporating trail running into my routine has greatly improved my road race times though! Thanks for the article.

iRunFar.com This episode of Kilian's Quest gives you a great feel for the groupthat was out on the trail with Kilian Jornet during his record settingrun of the Tahoe Rim Trail.

The road was long at times, especially for Kilian, but there were miles of smiles too…

Kurt Decker So what do you think about this whole running shoes bad v.s. barefoot thing ?

At the risk of being flamed, I'm not in favor of the "barefoot" movement. With the collection of all or nothing people in running (and, perhaps, even more in ultrarunning. I can see people going overboard with the idea too quickly. That said, I've gradually reduced how structured I like my day-to-day running shoes. I see it as a positive to ... For now, I'll be happy hitting the trails many days in shoes like Salomon's S-Lab 2 or New Balance MT100, while wearing END Footwear or racing shoes on the road.

I also agree with the moderator that having some very long days under your belt will really help, not only in terms of fitness but really also to give you a sense of what to expect in terms of discomfort but also to allow you the opportunity to test nutrition, etc. Also good advice is to forget about "racing" for the day-it's really an event to just enjoy and, at least for the first few times, to just finish.
Good luck, I bet you have a great time.
