Idaho Democratic Party Allred for Idaho has 701 fans!
Keith Allred grew up in Twin Falls, Idaho. A fifth-generation Idahoan, he spent his early years hunting and fishing the Wood River valley where his great-great-grandfather grubbed the family homestead out of sage brush over a century ago. After graduating from Twin Fa...lls High School, Keith earned a B.A. in American History from Stanford University and a Ph.D. in organizational behavior and social psychology from UCLA. For the following decade, Keith taught leadership, first as a professor at Columbia University and then at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. In 2003, Keith and his wife Christine came home to Idaho to raise their family. Although Keith has continued to teach in executive programs at Harvard and Boise State, his passion is for solving real-world problems. A can-do mediator, Keith has helped resolve public lands, hydroelectric dam, land use, and tribal disputes. His interest in problem solving has shaped his politics as well as his profession. In 2004, he founded The Common Interest, a nonprofit organization that brings together Republicans, Democrats, and independents to put common sense solutions ahead of special interest and partisan politics in the Idaho Legislature. Keith and Christine, their two daughters, Anna and Cate, and son, Dan, live in Eagle.
