      • Starry Sky I'm confused, is this a voting contest? If it is, as long as the votes are legit, there should be no problem right? Voting contest is all down to your skill and resourcefulness in legitimately garnering more votes for yourself. I don't see what's wrong with exchanging votes. If it's not a voting contest, then organizer should judge n choose the winner rather than wasting the participants' time in garnering "likes"

        With all due respect,

I don't think resourcefulness is what this whole contest is about. In my opinion, this contest is about submitting entries which will be able to pique the interest of many.

So I guess the organisation does not wish t...o give the prize to the "most resourceful" person. But to the person with "most amount of votes"

I see your confusion. They are quite interlinked, but they are not the same.

And on a side note, I don't think the winner will not feel as proud when he wins due to his resourcefulness, and not his entry.

I hope this addresses your concern.

        Dear Keith,

Thank you for your reply, I think you have misunderstood what I'm trying to say. I mean Resourcefulness in LEGITIMATELY GARNERING VOTES. Participants will need to garner as many votes as they can in order to win the contest ba...sed on "most numbers of votes" If the contest is based on the entry, then organizer should choose the best entry as a winner and NOT the one with the most likes. Or maybe a combination of both.

Personally without prejudice, I feel those participants who has more friends have the higher chance of winning. People vote to support their friend even if the entry is not as good as the others. So I don't see the proud one may be have in such contest.

With all due respect for the two of you, allow me to share our opinion on the issue.

I have to agree it's a thin fine line between voting for friends and voting in appreciation for the artwork. And it is fine, either way, whether you are s...upporting a friend or appreciating an artwork - as we are spreading the message of our thoughts and art.

What we do not encourage is voting in other "vote garnering" contests thus requesting to be voted in return.

This act is labelled as "votes exchange" by us. And for all fairness for our players who garner votes by spreading the words to their good friends, this totally spoil their chances.

Having experience in managing online community I hope this address the issue and look forward to more of such constructive feedback. ;)

      • Starry Sky Thank you for your reply, appreciated very much. This will clear my confusion. But iDreamin add on this rule after the contest had already started, will be be unfair for those used "votes exchange" from the start?

      • iDreamin Hi Starry, we did not disqualify anybody that used "votes exchange" in from the start. We merely discourage people from doing that. And of course emphasize and promote the importance of friendly, healthy competition. That is protect that other participants.

It is suppose to be a sharing of thought and art competition, and for people who appreciate Lomo cameras to take part. ;)

      • Starry Sky Dear Amber Joo

Thanks for the reminder, I had read the T&C, I'm just curious and asking to get an answer. By the way I am not a participant but I saw some very nice artwork and hope they can win. =)
