This was another amazing JavaOne. It was also the weirdest: between the Oracle situation, the global meltdown, and the financial situation, it was very different. Early on, we were really concerned (==nearly paniced) that no one would show up...

100% agree! Java making simple thing way much harder, almost everything we learn had to used it. Such as in awt different listener, also struct had a lot unnecessarily things. and I still don't understand why a class only could extends anthor class! That was crazy, every time got 2 made a inter class. Most crazy was in jdk1.6, we still got 2 used old container(what ever it call) to store information that got from XML!
