- Company Overview:
- Beija-Flor, the Greenville-based Brazilian denim line has spent the past 2 years growing its designer denim line across
the US through wholesale and retail distribution channels. Beija-Flor has become known for their beautiful Brazilian design with a fit that appeals to the modern American woman. - Mission:
- All Beija-Flor™ designs are made in an environmentally, socially and ethically conscious manner with Brazilian manufacturers who excel in corporate responsibility. In addition, a portion of Beija-Flor™ proceeds are donated to the Hummingbird Conservatory, a non-profit organization that focuses its efforts in the study of hummingbirds and the conservation of their habitats.
Beija-Flor™ is the brainchild of mother and daughter design team Kathy and Emilie. Their desire to bring American women a great fitting jean was inspired by a combination of frustration found in their own personal shopping needs, their family roots in Brazil and a passionate affection and appreciation for the hummingbird trips they took there. - Products:
- In-store merchandise includes its Spring 2008 collection, in which Beija-Flor™ brings back some of their best-selling Fall styles, the classic fit 'Jennifer'; the ultra lean and sophisticated stovepipe 'Natalie.' The Beija-Flor™ signature embroidered hummingbird logo on the inside of the jeans' waistbands was inspired by the over 300 species of Hummingbirds found only in the Americas
