I am so proud of the West Aurora students and parents that were able to attend Lobby Days!!! You are changing the world one step at a time: ) Ps. Word to the April 25th Rescue survivors!!! You rock my world with your love and compassion to maintain your faith in the torrential downpour, lightening strikes, hail, 15 mile per hour wind gusts, and... Read More 35 degree temperatures!!! The spirit of this movement will continue to grow and become more and more contagious as we continue to represent the children suffering in the Acholi region of Uganda and surrounding countries! Pss. eh, I'm not bothered by it. They reward people when they work hard for their cause. There's nothing wrong with that. Plus they've shown an astonishing amount of dedication to what they do. They've brought the issue into the public light. I read about them in Reader's Digest this week for cryin' out loud. Personally I'm incredibly proud that ... Read Moresomeone in our generation has had the kind of impact that they have, and will continue to. It just proves that we're not as apathetic as people claim. I think that kind of dedication deserves a little reward now and again. Not to mention that IC lets you dictate how your money is spent when you donate it, which means that the money spent on the party was most likely donated for the purposes of a party.
Don't get me wrong, I think that we need to work hard, but I think keeping morale high is work too. By keeping the events fun and upbeat we can maintain a higher number and degree of supporters with creative and powerful voices.
