I understand Ford's desire for more cash, and that they'll reserve some stake for R&D purposes since so many FoMoCo vehicles are based on Volvo - especially the P2 - platforms. I strongly feel that throwing away the knowledge, experience, the drive to build better and progressively safer cars, and the cachet of the brand is foolhardy. I'm glad they... See More only sold their majority stake of their Mazda ownership rather than the whole thing, since Mazda's so good at developing economical yet fun vehicles. If they need the money that badly, sell part of Volvo, not the whole thing.

Gary Menghini Hello IPD, My 83 Volvo Passenger back Bleeder valve isnt bleeding. All the others bleed. Using the MotivBleeder. Replaced the Hard Lines and Soft Lines. on boths ides. When I removed the Hardline to the Caliper fluid comes out. Do you think I need a new Caliper or ra rebuild? Thanks

Have you removed the bleeder to see if the bleeder itself or the caliper is plugged? Ran into that once on my car. A little back probing with a pic and it cleared out the obstruction.

Ian Woodford I was wanting to know if anybody has had problems with a tailgate sensor going bad on a 2006 v70??? The dash is saying the door is open but its shut.
I'm not sure if its a code falt of a bad switch I have so far taken the panels off and looked but nothing.. PLEASE help sombody

Pretty likely to be the rear switch in the latch assembly. Sometimes you can disassemble and repair but it takes some trickery for sure. Typically folks just replace the latch assembly as a whole and that does it.

Could be a pinched wiring loom - Take apart the loom at the top of the lath and look for a severed cable. Takes about 15 minutes to patch! Typical Volvo repair!
