i feel this to be a good thing. the copyright holder needs to be solely the artist(s) or the heir(s) to that artist(s). if no heir(s) is available then it shall be publicly owned. the money made from those sales should go to nonprofit orginizations such as a specified research, or charity. how about a grant fund for new artists so they don't ... Read Morehave to sign their life and 90% what they are making away for the next five to ten albums just to pay for this career to start off? if the same amount of moneys were put into the public domain as is put into the private sector i think the the extra cash flow will help the economy, maybe even worldwide. and of course uncle sam can take his cut, he's going to anyway whether we like it or not, so there is another boost to the economy.
