Good interview. Thanks. I don't have children and never get around to going to movies, so I enjoy these reviews so that I can know something about what's going on in pop culture.

I'd also be interested in serial TV show reviews. I watch quite a few of these, but probably not the same shows as young people. I prefer serial TV shows to movies, because I like to get to know the characters. I consider it a form of modern story-telling.

My vote is for Soundbite # 1. Dr. Rast gets my sympathy vote for having to actually read that drivel!

I was torn between #1 and #4. My comment on #1 is that Osteen offers no Gospel at all, he offers no Good News there if I'm turned in on myself. I vote for #4. Wynecken's 19th century question when he stepped off the boat in Baltimore is just as applicable today, "Where's the Lutheran Church"?

Why is Pr. Harrison dressed for a safari? I mean, if anyone in the synod regularly goes on safaris, he's the guy, but I'd wager he just drove over from Kirkwood. And you're not allowed to shoot wild bureaucrats, even in their natural habitats.

Jeff, I would guess, he is comfortable in it, and, look, it has lots of pockets, it is like wearing a suitcase. I want one. Ah, a new uniform: white collar, black shirt, and a safari coat.

Closed Communion is the "only" Communion! Everything else evades the LORD's desire for His people to gather around His Word.

My vote is for #4 as Mr. Spencer labeled correctly the deceptiveness of Islamic jihad and the cowardice of political correctness. It does have a "blanket stranglehold" on some sectors of our country.
