My most recent experience pre-Ivey was a website which I launched as an online business. This experience was my first venture; it carried risk in the sense that I abandoned the security of paychecks, but little commitment in terms of life savings and assets...

Anyone that has visited Spencer lately has probably noticed that the September class is looking a tad stressed and a bit sleep deprived. We are in the heart of Module 2a and waist deep in complex finance, accounting, and strategy cases...

Hello,
I am considering applying to MBA programs for 2011 intake. What would be your opinion on taking a Kaplan GMAT prep course? Also, I was recently at a HBS MBA info session that mentioned that they were one of two programs in the world that used the Case Method in classrooms- would Ivey be the other?
Thank you,
Vikram

One of main questions that I was asked quite frequently by friends and family was why choose Ivey and Canada? My reasons included:1. 1 Year Program – I was looking to return to the workplace as quickly as possible.2. ...

Many candidates approach us, concerned that they cannot get their stories out in a single sentence or worried that their personal branding is too muddled. Some candidates feel that they must have a single narrative and continuously speak to it in order to make a point with the admissions committees....

Hi, I am considering applying for 2011 intake. I would like to know i Ivey offers scholarships to International students ?
If yes, (1) What is the assessment Critera ?
(2) What are the terms of the scholarship (amount of reward, any bond etc. ) ?
On a separate note, does Ivey allow CFA charterholders to get exemptions from any modules ?

Business-school applicants have to juggle their real-world work and family commitments with GMAT-taking, tedious applications and dozens of essays. It can be difficult to figure out when to apply—and when to tell the boss you might be leaving. Here's how to handle M.B.A. application season:

I have some queries regarding the Full Time MBA curriculum:
--What are the specializations on offer?
--Is a non-financial background, hindrance to getting an admission in Ivey?
--Does one get help for switching to Finance? Is it advisable, keeping in mind the internships and job requirements of Pre-MBA experience in Finance?

Recently we talked to a new client who just went through a rough Round 1 of the MBA admissions process. Although the round isn't over yet, the way his interview invitations are going, it looks like he's not going to have much success. Once he saw the writing on the wall, he came to us for help.

I had a couple two questions:
1) In the selection process, is our GMAT score looked at in its entirety, or do you look at the breakdown for the scores we got for each of the three sections
2) If we already have a Masters in a field related to management will our graduate work/grades be looked at more closely than our undergraduate
