John
You've always told me, it takes time. It's taken my father's time. It's
taken my mother's time. My uncle's time, my brothers and sisters time.
My nieces and my nephews time. How much time do you want for your
'progress'?
-James Baldwin

Diana Gutierrez "Going to meet the man" is one of the most powerful stories i've ever read, and is timeless.. GENIUS.

Stan Johnson It is certain, in any case, that ignorance allied with power, is the most ferocious enemy justice can have.

Jeffrey Converseboy Petit-Bois Now, it is true that the nature of society is to create, among its citizens, an illusion of safety; but it is also absolutely true that the safety is always necessarily an illusion. Artists are here to disturb the peace.

Nick Rose Fires can't be made with dead embers, nor can enthusiasm be stirred by spiritless men. Enthusiasm in our daily work lightens effort and turns even labor into pleasant tasks.

Leslye When James Baldwin closed his eyes for the last time, all of us in the Black community who were acutely aware of the world around us understood that we had not simply lost someone who was a literary genius. Everybody's journey is individual. If you fall in

Bashir Ali I became intimately aware of James Baldwin when I was 11 years old. I was challenged to read "Go Tell It On The Mountain". Little did I know I and my parents know, I would seek out as much of his work as I could get my little hands on. He opened the door to other writers for me and I always traced my love of literature to him.

Pat Dobbins I love his books.
