The festivities will begin at JMU's home football game Saturday against Maine. The Army Golden Knights Parachute Team will perform just prior to kickoff. If you're at the game or in the neighbo...rhood of Bridgeforth Stadium shortly before 3 p.m., be sure to look up.
Then on Sunday, the Harrisonburg Veterans' Day Parade steps off at 2 p.m. from the county administrative complex and heads south to the Harrisonburg municipal building.
Immediately following the parade, officials from JMU, the city of Harrisonburg, Rockingham County and various veterans groups will dedicate a new memorial to honor the area's fallen veterans. The dedication ceremony will be held in the softball stadium at Memorial Hall and will feature a performance by the U.S. Army Drill Team. Read More
