Joshua, I'm not talking about the legislation. Jared was partly responsible for the legislation being weaker than it should have been. He threw a tantrum when the legislation included taxing higher income individuals (which he clearly is), so ... Read Morethe level was raised.

It was a very destructive headline early in the fight when the party really needed unity and a strong voice. I'm not some random guy who feels this way, do a search, it was a big headline and he lost a lot of respect over it.

Salazar is Catholic. The amendment may not have been so bad to a pro-choice point-of-view, if it is removed from the final Senate bill. It allowed pro-life legislators an opportunity to reassure their religious constituents in one way, while still voting for the bill. Politically smart.
