Jarrod is a speaker and author. His books include Worship (a Devotional written in 2003 with Joel Engle), The Backward Life: In Pursuit of an Uncommon Faith (a 2006 challenge to young adults to "reverse your thinking" based on The Great Commandment), and 13 Ways To Ruin Your Life: A Practical Guide for Guys (which deals with sexual temptation and sexual sin) written in 2008.
Jarrod is a 1995 graduate/student-athlete (basketball) of NCAA Division I Samford University, Birmingham, Alabama. Among various other awards and honors throughout his college basketball career, Jarrod was awarded the Student All-Star Athlete award by Jim Nantz of CBS Sports at a basketball tournament in 1995. Upon spending time with Nantz following the tournament banquet, Jarrod began to re-think his life.
Jarrod is also a 2003 graduate of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Kentucky, where he earned his masters of divinity.
Jarrod speaks at conferences, weekend events, camps, and other venues where He passionately unpacks the truth of the Scriptures. Also, he is a public school assembly speaker who travels the country calling teenagers to integrity, character, and toughness. At 6'7, his presence, his voice, and his message, has impacted thousands of lives.
Jarrod speaks more than 120 days each year to thousands of people at venues all over North America and the world.
